Event Details
- Please mark your calendars and plan to attend our Auxiliary Training on the 25th of April at 7PM at the stake center. We will be meeting with all of the Women’s Auxiliary leaders from the wards and will be able to be taught by a member of our stake presidency. We will also have time to meeting as YW leaders. Please come prepared with any questions or concerns that we can help you with.
- It has been so fun visiting your New Beginnings! You ladies are so talented and creative and we are impressed by all the girls sharing their testimonies. Thank you for letting us join you!
- The theme for the Youth Fireside in April is the Trek. We want to take that time to help everyone get informed and excited about this great event. The fireside is meant for all youth & their parents who will be 14 or older by the time of Trek.
Young Women’s Camp
- The official dates of Young Women’s Camp this year are July30 – August 2. Yes, we are cutting it a day short by coming home on Friday instead of Saturday, but feel that with Trek the next week, the Young Women (and some leaders who will be attending both camp and trek) will need a nice, relaxing weekend to gear up for trek.
- Registration and Secret Sister Forms for Young Women’s Camp have been distributed- they are also included with this email and posted on our Facebook page….Bremerton Stake YW Camp. If you haven’t received them contact us. Please make sure both your girls and leaders, who are going to camp, fill them out. They are due by May 30th BUT the first ward to complete and turn in all their Registration Forms will be able to pick their own cabin. Please turn in your forms to any member of our Stake YW Presidency, Sis. Nina Jensen or Sis. Shellie Tailleur.
- The camp theme this year is “Stand Ye in Holy Places – Around the World”. The Countries that have been chosen are: Finland (YCLs), France (Seabeck), South Africa (Southworth), Brazil (Orchard Heights), Japan (Manchester), Mexico (Sinclair View), Bremerton (Denmark), and Philippines (Manette, Kitsap Lake). If you feel you have come to a different decision, it can be changed. Just let us know
It is not too early to start thinking about decorating your cabin and learning to sing “I love to see the Temple” in that particular language
- The fee for camp is $85. All the young women are encouraged to earn their own money and pay for herself. You may want to ask your Bishop about the possibility of a fundraiser. Successful fundraisers of the past have been lumpia, pie, tamale sales, babysitting, etc. But do ask permission from your Bishop first!
Trek
- The dates of Trek are August 8-10th. It will be held at Ensign Ranch. The Trek committee is already planning and working on details for this event. It is going to be great! Bro. Dale & Sis. Erika Frei are the Trek directors this year and both have such a great testimony of how this experience can help to strength our young women! Sis. Tammy Frei is the head of the sewing committee, she will be in contact with each of the wards, to help your young women with putting together their trek clothing. If she hasn’t contacted you yet, you can always call her. She has patterns and lots of ideas about how to make you look authentic
- Registration forms are also included in this email. We would LOVE to have these forms filled out and turn in by the Trek Fireside on the 21st. Bro. Doug & Sis. Shellie Tailleur are the Registrars for Trek, so you can turn your forms into them or any member of the Stake YW Presidency. Sis. Tailleur will have extra forms with her the evening of the fireside in case anyone forgets!!
