Stake Priest & Laurel Institute Activity

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Thank you for all you do to bless the Young Men and Young Women in your wards at this critical time in their lives.

Sadly, after high school graduation, a very large portion of these precious Priest and Laurels will fall into inactivity, and go away from the Church for at least some period of time. That always brings many regrets and lost opportunities for these youth.

Part of the reason why they fall away is that, they fail to participate in the wonderful programs that the Church provides for Young Single Adults. Some of those programs are Church Schools, Young Single Activities, Institute, YSA Branches and Wards, and more.

So in May we wanted to have a combined activity for all of the Priests and Laurels (whether graduating yet or not), in the Bremerton Stake and Gig Harbor Stake. There will be lots of fun, games, and learning about the great things that the Lord has in store for them as they stay close to Him. We hope to give them a vision of the great life after high school as they enjoy good the friendships, fun, service, and the much good they can do with their lives during this time.

I also wanted to get the YM YW leaders over Priest and Laurels to come because they have to get a testimony of these great programs if they want the youth to buy into it.

We will be having this combined stake activity on Tuesday, May 1^st at the Mullenix Building from 7:00 to 8:30pm. For many of you, this may be taking the place of your regular mutual activities for the week.

This can be a huge blessing in the lives of these youth as they prepare for their futures.
